BDS-Logistics Ltd Accessibility Statement

Accessibility is an important issue and one that BDS-Logistics takes seriously. Our site is built to international and UK government guidelines on accessibility, and conforms to the highest level of accessibility so different use agents and assistive technology can use the site easily.

Accesskey Allocation

Most browsers support jumping to specific links by typing keys defined on the web site. On Windows, you can press 'ALT + an access key' on Macintosh, you can press 'Control + an access key'.

All images that are used to illustrate content include the alt attribute to provide descriptive text alternatives. Images that have a decorative function have an 'empty' alt attribute. All banner images used on this site are for design purposes only and are inserted as background images.

Link Titles

A title attribute has been added to links which describe the link in greater detail. If the text of the link provides a clear explanation of the 'target' then the title attribute has not been used.

Javascript

The site does not rely on client-side scripting for navigation and is mouse independant (navigable without the use of a mouse). If pop up windows are used then these are warned via the title attribute.

Web Standards

This site uses cascading style sheets for visual layout and is built to W3C standards. The XHTML and CSS is valid and the site, according to our judgement of the guidelines, complies with the WAI level 3 accessibility guidelines.

Browser Compatibility

This site is best viewed in any standards compliant browser. All pages on this site use structured semantic markup which means that if your browser or browsing device does not support stylesheets, the content of each page is still readable and is presented in a logical order.
